Water System Update

MARATHON CITY, WI. October 11, 2018 – The Marathon City Utility Department worked late into the evening yesterday to flush the water distribution system in the Village.  As of 10 p.m. October 10, multiple locations throughout the Village had been flushed and water clarity was restored.  Flushing operations will restart at 7:00 a.m.  It is expected that all affected residents will see the issue resolved by mid-day today.

The cause of the unusually high mineral content has not been identified, however the source has been isolated and will be researched once the water distribution system has been cleared.

Winter Parking Rules Take Affect

November 1 through April 1 overnight parking is not permitted on Village Streets. If residents need to park overnight, contact the Marathon City Police Department at 715-443-2470 with your address, the make and color of the vehicle and the period of time needed for on-street parking.
