Category : General

The Village will closing Fourth Street between Main and Chestnut this afternoon December 6 to re-grade and build-up the road base between Market and Main Street. Fourth Street will remain closed through the early next next week to allow the new material to settle and for the area to freeze.
The area has experience several freeze and thaw cycles which have created a very rough travel surface. The expectation is once the surface freezes it be easier to maintain until paving can be completed in the spring.
The closure will begin around 2:30 PM on Friday and run through Tuesday December 10. Residents are asked to utilize alternate routes to access properties in this segment of 4th Street.
We apologize for the inconvenience, but mother nature has not been cooperating with our plans.
