American Legion Auxiliary

American Legion Auxiliary Alois Dreikosen Unit 469 was chartered in 1949 and today boasts over 100 members.  Members are eligible through their relationship to military members who serve during active war time.  The unit promotes patriotism and serves the community and veterans with funds raised from the concession stand located in Marathon Veterans Park.  The concession stand is open during baseball and softball games and during the annual Marathon Fun Days celebration held Labor Day weekend.

Rib Riders Snowmobile Club

The Rib Riders Snowmobile Club was formed in 1972 and encompasses the townships of Cassel, Marathon, Mosinee, Rib Mountain as well as the Village of Marathon City. Currently we have over 80 active families who spend numerous hours brushing, signing, and grooming close to 40 miles of trails. We actively support our local business as well as promote the sport of snowmobiling. Membership is open to anyone who enjoys the outdoors and a fun group of people – you don’t need to even own a sled to be a member. United We Trail… Divided We Fail
