Heritage Center Park

Heritage Center Park – A Green Space in a Historic Place
301 Main Street, Marathon City, WI

The Heritage Center will be open to visitors during winter hours on the second Sunday of the month, October to May, from 12p to 2p.

With community support from the Power of Community Campaign, Marathon City 2020 Ltd. transformed the worn-out parking lot and abandoned bank drive-thru on the property into an environmentally friendly and inviting greenspace in 2019.

This “pocket park” features a covered stage, raised planting beds with built-in seating, a transitional area for additional seating or entertainment, and more. The Heritage Center Park is intended to serve as a multifunctional place for education, relaxation, entertainment, and cultural attractions. Because we enjoy a small-city downtown, all these activities are within a compact area that is easily walkable. Having a true park venue to this mix provides visitors with another reason to enjoy our downtown and view it as an important place within their overall sphere of activity.
